Welcome to the newest family medicine residency program in Southern California!
Citrus Valley Health Partners Family Medicine Residency Program received
initial accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical
Education on October 11 – 15, 2016. We are proud to have recruited
our charter PGY-1 class. Our students began training in July 2017 at our
hospitals and at the East Valley Community Health Center.
Who are the charter class?
You are the future. You are the generation of physicians coming of age
in a world that has never known change so rapid, so relentless. You know
the way forward is transformation, not adaptation. You see opportunity
in challenge. You have nimble minds and great hearts.
Curiosity, imagination, and belief in the future draw you to the creation
of a new residency program. Courage, work ethic, and joy at the prospect
of collaborating with a visionary healthcare team will bring you here.
Effective December 1, 2016, CVHP officially entered into an affiliation
with USC’s Keck School of Medicine and its Department of Family
Medicine. This affiliation provides opportunities for medical research
and educational opportunities for the school’s students, while also
allowing CVHP physicians who will function as voluntary faculty to our
residents to also become voluntary faculty for USC’s Department
of Family Medicine.
The affiliation also gives students with USC Keck School of Medicine and
the Physician Assistant Program access to learning experiences at CVHP
and East Valley Community Health Center through rotations in the Family
